Kenya - Electric buses
Kenya: Opibus, a Swedish and Kenyan-owned green mobility company, is developing environmentally friendly bus models for public transport. This is a prototype from which it plans to go into full-scale production by the end of 2023. This bus will cost significantly less than importing fully built electric buses. This model allows for an 80% reduction in maintenance expenses compared to a diesel bus (Ecofin – 21st January 2022).
