Mali-Assembly plant for computers and tablet computers.
Danew Talla Electronics, a joint venture under Malian law formed by the French company Danew and the Malian company Talla télécom, is planning an assembly plant for computers and tablet computers. Location: Bamako. Malian and West African markets. Products: Notebook computers and tablets with an average cost of FCFA 65,000 (USD 106.3) with models going up to FCFA 100,000. Production capacity of the factory is estimated at 600,000 computers and tablets per year. Production to begin by September 2022. Direct employment: approximately 200 jobs (up to 1,000 indirect jobs). Plans to create a national network of repairers of about 1,000 people (Wearetech.Africa – 09/06/2022).
