Wind turbine blades / Morocco
Chinese manufacturer Aeolon started up a wind turbine blade manufacturing plant in Morocco in January 2025. This investment is the 1st plant in the Betoya Industrial Zone in Nador. It is Aeolon’s 6th production site outside China, and its first in Morocco. Industrial production is scheduled to start by the end of April 2025. Total investment: around $220 million. Surface area: 49ha, of which 11.8ha built-up. Production capacity: 600 sets of blades/year. Employment: 3,300 people. Forecast sales > $680 million.
