The nigerian enterprise African Motor Works manufactures approximately 200 electric vehicles a month, including city buses, minibuses and tricycles. The workshop is located in Maiduguri (Borno State). The company employs 24 people. The proportion of locally sourced inputs is around 30%. Local added value is mainly in welding, sheet metal work and assembly. The rest is imported, as it is not available in Nigeria.
