Nigeria - Electric buses
Renewable energy company Oando Clean Energy Limited (Ocel) has entered into a partnership with the Lagos Metropolitan Transport Authority (Lamata) to introduce electric buses in the economic capital. Eventually, the agreement will enable the development of electric mobility in several urban areas such as Kano and Enugu. At the same time, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) has granted a $50 million loan to the Lagos State authorities to rehabilitate two transport lines in the Ile Iwe-Ile Epo and Abule Egba-Command districts (Afrik 21 – 06/08/2022).
