The World Container Index (Drewry) reached 5379 on 14/09/2022. This is the 28th consecutive weekly decline. It is now 48% below the September 2021 peak of $10377, but still 46% above the 5-year average of $3679.

As a reminder, the World Container Index is evaluated from a set of container freight rates on 8 major routes to/from the U.S., Europe and Asia for a standard 40-foot container.
