Zambia / DRC - Lithium
Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo have signed a MoU to create a joint value chain for the electric mobility and clean energy sectors (manufacturing of cathode precursor materials for lithium-ion batteries for electric cars). The project will be implemented on two sites, one in Haut-Katanga (Congo), the second in Copperbelt (Zambia). Investment under the auspices of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa. Financial mobilization entrusted to Afrexim Bank (Afrik 21 – 8th May 2022).
